Some scientists are proposing that the earth be artificially cooled because it's too late to reverse global warming.
According to these scientists, doing things like painting roofs white, or planting lightly coloured plants would help. They even go as far as suggesting things like putting sea water into the clouds to make them lighter, sending aerosols (solids and liquids suspended in gas form) into the stratosphere, and even putting "sun shades" around the Earth. Doing these projects would apparently send the Earth back around 250 years ago to before the industrial age. Unfortunately doing such actions may cause unexpected side effects. Changing weather patterns, rainfall, UV levels, you name it. This would also disrupt sunlight in most cases and cause agricultural problems, such as a change in when plants grow.
